Bulletin interne de l'Institut Pasteur
The research project ArchOMEP was launched just over a year ago, and it has so far reached two-thirds of the total cohort aimed for. Forty Institut Pasteur staff have already responded to the call by agreeing to share and talk about their experiences of the health crisis, with almost perfect gender parity (21 women and 19 men). The aim is to gather accounts from 60 people.
The study is making good progress – but it's not over yet!
The project will come to a close in December 2023. And between now and then it is important for us to develop the corpus further so that it best represents the wealth of different experiences and perspectives on the crisis at the Institut Pasteur.
The corpus is currently composed of accounts from scientists, laboratory and research technicians, administrative and support staff, research engineers, and staff working in asset management, restaurants and logistics.
The ArchOMEP project needs you – both Institut Pasteur staff and external service providers. The team running the project is available and on hand to listen to your account of the crisis.
Who can participate?
The aim is to interview people from all the occupational categories working at the Institut Pasteur who keep the institute running on a daily basis.
Anyone interested who was working at the Institut Pasteur between December 2019 and December 2021 may take part in the project.
Security officers, cleaners, maintenance technicians and logistics operators are unfortunately underrepresented, as are people whose work was affected by the crisis but who were not involved in activities related to COVID-19.
The interview in practice
Interviews can be conducted in a CeRIS meeting room in complete confidentiality or in your office or building. They are recorded using a small microphone, then transcribed and fully anonymized. Each interview lasts for around an hour. The interviews will be kept for 25 years before being made public.
