CeRIS cinema club: A microscopic voyage of discovery through the human body

The Scientific Information Resources Center (CeRIS) is pleased to invite you to a screening of the 2014 documentary film "Planet corps" ("Planet body" – 90 mins), directed by Pierre-François Gaudry. The film will be shown on Tuesday February 26, 2019 at 1pm in the Jules Bordet room (on the ground floor of the Metchnikoff building (building 67)).

"Planète corps" showcases the amazing world of microscopy, taking viewers on an incredible voyage of discovery of the human body and its biodiversity, from the surface to the hidden depths. The human body is a place where creatures live, prosper, feed, reproduce and do battle. Some may seem harmful, others are useful or even vital for our survival, but they are all involved in maintaining a subtle biological balance that has developed over time with evolution. Bacteria, viruses, Aspergillus, lice, mites, parasitic worms... From the roots of our hair to the damp caverns of our intestines, biologists, microbiologists, taxonomists, parasitologists and dermatologists reveal the secrets of this fascinating world using spectacular images filmed with cutting-edge electron microscopes.
