Salaries: changes on January 1, 2024

Following the unilateral application of the measures in the annual negotiations for 2024, depending on your profile you may have noticed various changes to your January payslip:

•    an increase in the basic salary from +30 to +12 points (depending on your salary level and applicable to all fixed-term and permanent employees at the Institut Pasteur on December 31, 2023, except for PhD students and postdoctoral fellows, whose salary scales will be increased, and dual-education students),

•    a salary increase of +2% for PhD students and +4% for postdoctoral fellows,

•    an increase in the Institut Pasteur's contribution to public transport passes (75% of the cost is now covered, up from 50%),* if this concerns you,

•    an increase in the sustainable mobility lump sum of €252 each year, up from €180, representing a monthly payment of €21, if this concerns you.

Contributions to medical costs also increased by 7% (between 1 and 2 index points depending on your salary) on January 1, 2024. This increase comes in response to a request from our insurers in light of the fact that our scheme is in deficit.

It in no way affects the guarantees and services offered by our health insurance provider, which you can find on the dedicated ePasteur page.

* In connection with the disability policy, the Institut Pasteur now covers 100% of the cost of public transport passes for Institut Pasteur employees who are beneficiaries of the obligation to employ disabled workers (BOETH). These employees are also now entitled to a day or two half-days of paid authorized absence each calendar year to support them with administrative procedures.
