Bioinformatics

Bioinformatic program for PhD students starts on March 8th, 2024

The Bioinformatics and Biostatistics Hub and the Image Analysis Hub offer courses dedicated primarily to first-year PhD students* of the institute. In the age of Big Data and computational biology, it is crucial to give biology researchers the foundations of reproducible research: from the design of optimal experiments giving reliable and robust results, to the analysis of their own data in autonomy, while at the same time getting to know the Hub-B&B and Hub-IA engineers on campus.

Courses are organized into modules that last from three hours to three days full time.

Most courses are in English** and the program begins with a one day Common Core module. The first session took place on October 23rd, 2023 from 9h30 to 17h30 in the Retrovirus room (Lwoff building). The second session will be on March 8th, 2024 (same hours and location). During this first module, a general presentation of the course will be made but above all talks about experimental design, reproducibility, computer science and ethics in science.

Enrolment is open
