Two Institut Pasteur scientists elected to the French Academy of Sciences

Following the open elections in 2019, the French Academy of Sciences recently elected 18 new members. A second round of elections, which will come to an end during the first quarter of 2020, will lead to the election of another four members to positions on targeted subjects.

This year, two Institut Pasteur scientists are among the 18 new members:

Lluis Quintana-Murci, Head of the Human Evolutionary Genetics Unit, was elected to the Human Biology and Medical Sciences section

Olivier Gascuel, Director of the Department of Computational Biology and Head of the Evolutionary Bioinformatics Unit, was elected as a member of the Integrative Biology section

 

The ceremony to welcome newly elected members will be held on Tuesday June 2, 2020 at the Institut de France.
