Every year, the iXcore-Exail-iXlife Foundation for Research selects scientists who have produced outstanding research. The aim is to make it easier for them to carry out their activities, and especially to enable them to conduct more responsive research.

The jury of the iXcore-Exail-iXlife Foundation for Research awarded its 2024 prize to Sigolène Meilhac, Head of the Heart Morphogenesis Unit, for her research on the mechanisms underpinning left-right asymmetry in embryonic development, which if dysfunctional can lead to severe heart malformations.
