Upcoming events: "PubMed – My NCBI: useful tips and tricks" and "HAL-Pasteur open archive" training, CeRIS on tour

 

  • Upcoming "PubMed – My Ncbi: useful tips and tricks" training on January 16

Learn how to use PubMed more efficiently with handy techniques including advanced searches, limiting searches, automatic emailing of search updates and citation export.

This training session, a mix of theory and hands-on exercises, will help you get to grips with all these PubMed features and boost your research skills. The session will take place on Wednesday January 16, from 2pm to 4.30pm.

Don't stress - just sign up for our training session!

This training session in English is open to all. It will take place in the training room on the second floor of the CIS building.

 

 

  • Training "HAL-Pasteur open archive" on January 21

This training session is a mix of theory and hands-on exercises to show you how to deposit your scientific publications in the HAL-Pasteur platform.

A new training session (in English) will take place on January 21, from 1 to 3pm in the training room on the second floor of the CIS.

  • CeRIS on tour on January 17

For the past three years, the Scientific Information Resources Center (CeRIS) library has been holding informal campus presentation sessions as a way for the team to explain about its services, answer questions, get to know you better and find out your thoughts and ideas! The team also brings along a selection of books and films available to borrow.

The next port of call will be the Calmette & Guérin buildings on Thursday January 17, 2019, from 12.30 to 2.30pm. The CeRIS team will be waiting to meet you on the ground floor of Calmette building.

Come along and find out about:

  • how to access articles and resources

  • bibliography management tools

  • open access publication

  • using bibliometrics to evaluate impact

  • how to use the Institut Pasteur photo library

The CeRIS team is on hand to help with services in the above areas and more.
