Launch of two calls for proposals by the ELICIT DIM

The ELICIT DIM ("Empowering Life Sciences with Innovative Technologies" Field of Major Interest) is launching its first two calls for proposals of 2019:

Co-development of innovative technologies and methods for research in life sciences

Dissemination of new technologies or methods for new applications in life sciences (noncommercial methods and/or instruments)

The aim of the ELICIT DIM is to support interdisciplinary collaborative research projects in the following areas:

  • the first applications of new technologies or innovative instruments for biology or the implementation of disruptive technologies in biology, the disruptiveness criteria being assessed regarding their impact and transformative nature;

  • integration in the SME and industrial value-added chain, in particular in the Greater Paris region, in the area of technologies for life sciences (including start-up creation);

  • integration in an open access environment for life sciences research teams, especially for the dissemination project.

The ELICIT DIM brings together research teams from the Greater Paris region within a single interdisciplinary research network based around the topic of technologies for life sciences, with the aim of positioning Greater Paris as one of the most innovative areas in this field.

Thematic focus of the ELICIT DIM:

  • Microfluidics,

  • Biophotonics and waves,

  • Image analysis and big data.

Fields of application:

  • Technologies for in vivo biology,

  • Organ-on-a-chip,

  • Single-cell and single-molecule biology,

  • Low-cost, high-performance technology.
