2023 Welcome Day – retrospective

Making new staff feel welcome at the Institut Pasteur is an ongoing challenge for the Institut Pasteur's teams. We take a closer look at current and future initiatives in this area.

The morning welcome sessions introduced in 2014 play a key role in welcoming newcomers, giving new staff members a chance to find out more about the Institut Pasteur. These informal events are also an opportunity for discussion over a croissant, with a series of speakers providing useful information and a tour of the Institut Pasteur campus.

As well as the usual modules (module on scientific resources, eLabJournal, intercultural seminar in November), the 2023 Welcome Day also included guided tours of the crypt, in partnership with the teams from the Pasteur Museum.

  • 2023: launch of the new intranet, ePasteur

With the launch of ePasteur, new Institut Pasteur staff now also have their own dedicated space on the intranet, containing a host of information and resources to help them settle in: the date and venue of Welcome Days, how to register for modules, the induction program, welcome pack, etc.

Check out the dedicated space on ePasteur

  • New for 2024

A booklet for new staff to help them prepare for their arrival is currently also being produced by the HR teams, in collaboration with other departments on campus.

The booklet will boost support for newcomers by providing answers to the most frequently asked questions – about badges, restaurants, IT accounts, etc. –, especially for those who have just arrived in France.
