Check out the winning entries in the 2022 sustainable development challenge

As reflected in its Green Campus – Responsible Campus program, the Institut Pasteur is acutely aware of the challenges of sustainable development, which are affecting all generations at every level of society. The Institut Pasteur continues to be committed to this issue, and two months ago it offered staff the opportunity to engage in a participatory project on campus.

The Sustainable Development Department ran a new edition of the "Sustainable Development Challenge" initiative, open to all Institut Pasteur staff (including employees, students and post-docs). The aim was to submit posters containing ideas, suggestions or projects related to sustainable development that could be implemented on the Institut Pasteur campus.

The Sustainable Development Department and the members of the panel were impressed with the quality of the written and oral proposals, and would like to thank all those who took part. After much thought, the panel selected the following two posters:

- "Reducing electricity consumption in heatwaves" by Boris Gourévitch, Faouzi Jenzeri and Dominique Jeanne

- "Shut the sash" by the Green DSCB Initiative

The winners received the two volumes of the Sapiens comic book, an "Ethi'kdo" ethical gift card, a set of three environmentally friendly reusable beeswax food wraps and an assortment of organic and/or fairtrade products.

The Sustainable Development Department will be running a further edition of the challenge this year. The launch of the 2023 edition will take place on February 10.
