Visit to see a "Pasteurian" artwork at the Centre Pompidou

toguo.jpg On Saturday January 14, some 50 Institut Pasteur staff enjoyed a special visit to the Centre Pompidou. Accompanied by curator Alicia Knock, they were taken through the rooms of Gallery 4 that currently house the 2016 Marcel Duchamp Prize exhibition and were shown the works by the four finalists of this prestigious award: Kader Attia, Yto Barrada, Ulla von Brandenburg and Barthélémy Toguo.

("Combating the virus!"), was developed on the basis of discussions with scientists on campus as part of the Organoid project. It pays tribute to the research conducted on AIDS and Ebola and emphasizes the wealth of images generated by the Institut Pasteur's scientific research, from the vases and walls to the huge lab bench dotted with 3D impressions of infected cells.

This work will be on display until January 30 and is well worth a visit.
