In December 2022, following the favorable opinion issued by the Scientific Council in October 2022, the Board of Governors approved the proposal by the President to establish the Decision and Bayesian Computation (Décision et processus bayesiens) unit as from January 1, 2023.
The unit is part of the Department of Computational Biology and will be led by Jean-Baptiste Masson, a Research Director at the Institut Pasteur.
The first five-year term of the unit will run through to December 31, 2027.

The Interactomics, RNA and immunity (Interactomique, ARN et immunité) laboratory was established on January 1, 2023 for a two-year period, which may be renewed once.
The laboratory is part of the Department of Virology and is led by Caroline Demeret.
