New unit and laboratory, new appointments, CETEA: new decision memos

• New Decision and Bayesian Computation unit

In December 2022, following the favorable opinion issued by the Scientific Council in October 2022, the Board of Governors approved the proposal by the President to establish the Decision and Bayesian Computation (Décision et processus bayesiens) unit as from January 1, 2023.

The unit is part of the Department of Computational Biology and will be led by Jean-Baptiste Masson, a Research Director at the Institut Pasteur.

The first five-year term of the unit will run through to December 31, 2027.

• New Reservoirs and Immune Control five-year unit (U5)

In December 2022, following the favorable opinion issued by the Scientific Council in October 2022, the Board of Governors approved the proposal by the President to establish the Reservoirs and Immune Control (Réservoirs viraux et contrôle immunitaire) five-year unit (U5) as from January 1, 2023, for a non-renewable five-year term. The unit is part of the Department of Virology and will be led by Asier Saez-Cirion, a Research Director at the Institut Pasteur.

• Appointment of the acting Director of the Department of Neuroscience

Pierre-Marie Lledo has been appointed as acting Director of the Department of Neuroscience (024700) from January 1, 2023 to June 30, 2023.

• Appointment of the Head of the Bioinformatics and Biostatistics Hub

Marie-Agnès Dillies was appointed as Head of the Bioinformatics and Biostatistics Hub (021300) on December 1, 2022.

• New Interactomics, RNA and Immunity laboratory

The Interactomics, RNA and immunity (Interactomique, ARN et immunité) laboratory was established on January 1, 2023 for a two-year period, which may be renewed once.

The laboratory is part of the Department of Virology and is led by Caroline Demeret.

Sébastien Bedu, CNRS (Zebrafish Neurogenetics Unit), has been appointed as a member of the Committee for Ethics in Animal Experimentation, "CETEA Institut Pasteur" CEEA 89, for three years as from December 14, 2022.

Delphine Denais-Lalieve, IRSN (French Institute for Radiological Protection and Nuclear Safety), has been appointed as a member of the Committee for Ethics in Animal Experimentation, "CETEA Institut Pasteur" CEEA 89, for three years as from December 14, 2022.

Bernadette Martins, CEA (French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission) Paris-Saclay, has been appointed as a member of the Committee for Ethics in Animal Experimentation, "CETEA Institut Pasteur" CEEA 89, for three years as from December 14, 2022.

Régis Tournebize, Inserm (Photonic BioImaging technology and service unit (UTechS PBI)), has been appointed as a member of the Committee for Ethics in Animal Experimentation, "CETEA Institut Pasteur" CEEA 89, for three years as from December 14, 2022.
