The Institut Pasteur Accelerator of Innovation: Two projects selected and arrival of a new Head of Diagnostic Innovation Development

The Institut Pasteur Accelerator of Innovation was created to de-risk the most promising research applications and boost their socio-economic transferability.

Two new projects selected in 2022

Each year since its creation in 2019, several scientific projects are identified and labeled. Projects are included in the Accelerator of Innovation after a selection process aimed at identifying the most promising scientific projects in terms of their ability to generate products that will have a public health impact. Inclusion in the Accelerator of Innovation is a decision taken by the President of the Institut Pasteur on a proposal by the DARRI, following an examination of the projects by the dedicated committee. This committee calls on a panel of internal and external experts with recognized scientific industry expertise.

This year two new projects have been labelled:

-    Tailor-made inhibitors of the Sec61 translocon for Oncology, PI : Caroline Demangel,

-    High-throughput multimodal imaging screening of therapeutic compounds for mitochondrial diseases in human cells, PI: Timothy Wai.

and DARRI welcomed a new Head of Diagnostic Innovation Development, François Rieunier.
