• Creation of the Bacteriophage, Bacterium, Host five-year unit (U5)
Following the favorable opinions issued by the Scientific Council in October 2021 and the Board of Governors in December 2021, the Bacteriophage, Bacterium, Host (Bactériophage, bactérie, hôte) five-year unit (U5) was set up on January 1, 2022 for a non-renewable five-year term.
The unit is part of the Department of Microbiology and will be led by Laurent Debarbieux, a Director of Research at the Institut Pasteur.

• Creation of the Advanced Molecular Virology five-year unit (U5)
Following the favorable opinions issued by the Scientific Council in October 2021 and the Board of Governors in December 2021, the Advanced Molecular Virology (Virologie moléculaire avancée) five-year unit (U5) was set up on January 1, 2022 for a non-renewable five-year term.
The unit is part of the Department of Virology and will be led by Francesca Di Nunzio, a Director of Research at the Institut Pasteur.

• Creation of the Translational Immunology five-year unit (U5)
Following the favorable opinions issued by the Scientific Council in October 2021 and the Board of Governors in December 2021, the Translational Immunology (Immunologie translationnelle) five-year unit (U5) was set up on January 1, 2022 for a non-renewable five-year term.
The unit is part of the Department of Immunology and will be led by Darragh Duffy, an Expert Research Associate at the Institut Pasteur.

• Creation of the Molecular Mechanisms of Pathological and Physiological Aging five-year unit (U5)
Following the favorable opinions issued by the Scientific Council in October 2021 and the Board of Governors in December 2021, the Molecular Mechanisms of Pathological and Physiological Aging (Mécanismes moléculaires du vieillissement pathologique et physiologique) five-year unit (U5) was set up on January 1, 2022 for a non-renewable five-year term.
The unit is part of the Department of Developmental and Stem Cell Biology and will be led by Miria Ricchetti, a Director of Research at the Institut Pasteur.

• Creation of the Single Cell and Biomarkers Platforms
The internal organization of the Cytometry and Biomarkers UTechS (UTechS CB) (021170), led by Milena Hasan, is changing in light of the new scope of activities of the UTechS.
The Single Cell Platform (Plateforme Single Cell) and the Biomarkers Platform (Plateforme Biomarqueurs), led respectively by Valentina Libri and Milena Hasan, were set up in the UTechS CB on December 1, 2021.
The UTechS CB now comprises the following four platforms:
• Cytometry Platform (024490), led by Sophie Novault
• Immuno-monitoring Platform (021171), led by Milena Hasan
• Single Cell Platform, led by Valentina Libri
• Biomarkers Platform, led by Milena Hasan
