Bioinformatics and Biostatistics courses for PhDs: second session of the core curriculum on February 17

The Bioinformatics and Biostatistics Hub offers bioinformatics courses dedicated primarily to first-year PhD students at the institute. In the age of Big Data and computational biology, it is crucial to give young biology researchers the foundations of reproducible research: from the design of optimal experiments giving reliable and robust results, to the analysis of their own  data in autonomy, while at the same time getting to know the bioinformaticians and statisticians on campus.

Courses are organized into modules that last from three hours to three days full time.

Most courses are in English (except the first session of "R and Statistics" in French) and will begin with a one day mandatory Common Core module for all PhD students. The first session of the core curriculum took place on October 21 and a second session of the core curriculum will take place on February 17 and will take place in the Retrovirus room of the Lwoff building during the whole day. This first module will allow students to register for course modules corresponding to their background and needs.

To get an attendance certificate for this common-core day, register to the course on Moodle

Since 2017, priority has been given to the enrolment of PhD students from the Institut Pasteur and the ANR INCEPTION partners. As a reminder, a course is taken in its entirety once registration has been completed
