CORONAVIRUS

Information about COVID-19 vaccination for Institut Pasteur staff exposed to the SARS-CoV-2 virus in their work

On January 15, we announced that the Institut Pasteur Medical Center had been approved as a COVID-19 vaccination center.

Vaccinations are being administered in line with the national priority schedule, which is currently targeting people aged 75 or over, healthcare professionals over the age of 50 and people at a very high risk of developing a severe form of the disease. These priority groups apply to the general public.

Since January 18, the Medical Center has been vaccinating an average of 120 people each day. This number is set to increase with the increase in the number of vaccine doses allocated to the Medical Center by the Regional Health Agency.

At the moment, the Doctolib calendar, the tool used to manage appointments for COVID-19 vaccination, is fully booked up for the next few weeks.

Regarding vaccination of Institut Pasteur staff exposed to the SARS-CoV-2 virus in their work, we requested a special supply of vaccines from the General Directorate of Health but given the current stocks and priorities our request was not granted.

However, the Medical Center has drawn up a waiting list of Institut Pasteur staff who are in one of the priority categories eligible for vaccination and can add to this list staff aged over 50 who are exposed to the SARS-CoV-2 virus in their work, by assimilating them as healthcare professionals.

If you are an Institut Pasteur employee and you think you fall into one of the priority vaccine categories listed below, you can send an email with your last and first names, age and telephone number (ideally a cell phone) to the address vaccination.covid@pasteur.fr (NB: address only to be used internally): please indicate in the email which priority category you fall into if you are under the age of 75 (there is no need to give specific details of your medical condition. In this last case, to confirm your priority eligibility, a doctor from the Medical Center can call you at your request).

Please note, however, that this email is not intended to be used to make appointments.
We will then contact you if a slot opens up at the last minute.*

The list of priority Institut Pasteur staff includes:

  • Institut Pasteur guest researchers aged 75 or over;

  • Institut Pasteur staff with a medical condition that puts them at a very high risk of severe disease, as indicated in a prescription or letter from a medical specialist or family physician, clearly stating which condition(s) on the list justifies priority vaccination;

  • Institut Pasteur healthcare professionals aged 50 or over, or with existing comorbidities, currently in work;

  • Institut Pasteur staff aged 50 or over who are exposed to the SARS-CoV-2 virus as part of their work.

For confidentiality reasons, you are not required to provide any medical information by email.
