Changes from January 2021 affecting exports and imports to and from the United Kingdom (Brexit)

Given the effective implementation of Brexit in the United Kingdom, the Logistics Department would like to inform you about a number of changes that took effect from the beginning of January 2021.

Following the end of the transition period, the United Kingdom effectively left the European Union on January 1, meaning that there are now customs checks at the borders.

  • Exports: you now need to provide a customs invoice for all goods sent to the United Kingdom.

  • Imports: any orders from British suppliers will also be subject to customs checks and to payment of customs duties and VAT.
