Save the date – upcoming CeRIS training sessions

•    In-person training – Introduction to alternative forms of open access publication, Tuesday January 30, 2 to 4.30pm* (in English)
 

Do you want to publish your research transparently and facilitate reproducibility?
 
There are a number of alternative formats to traditional research articles, such as executable papers, data papers, software papers, lab protocols and registered reports. And to find your way around these different publication types and understand the differences between them, why not come to a training session on the topic!
 
This training session will help you:
▫    Familiarize yourself with five alternative forms of open access publication;
▫    Understand how these publication types support open, reproducible science;
▫    Choose the publication type that is best suited to your needs.
 
The maximum number of participants is 12; spaces will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

•    Remote training – Depositing data in the Recherche Data Gouv repository, Wednesday January 31, 10am to 12 noon* (in English)
 
The Recherche Data Gouv national repository is a sovereign solution for sharing and providing open access to research data. This multidisciplinary repository can be used if there is no other existing or suitable data storage solution for a specific discipline.
 
At this highly practical training session, you will learn how to deposit a dataset in the Institut Pasteur’s dedicated space and discover the features and advantages of Recherche Data Gouv compared with other multidisciplinary repositories (like Zenodo). You will find out all you need to know to make your data available to the scientific community and associate datasets with your publications.
 
Aims of the training:
▫    Familiarize yourself with the Recherche Data Gouv data repository and learn when and why to use it;
▫    Learn how to deposit a dataset in the Recherche Data Gouv repository;
▫    Find out how to apply best practices to make sure your dataset is findable, understandable and reusable.
 
The training is aimed at any scientists who produce data and want to share their data via the Recherche Data Gouv repository.
