Bulletin interne de l'Institut Pasteur
In April, the company Vertdéco was selected following a call for tenders to optimize the management of the Institut Pasteur's natural heritage, especially by promoting green spaces and turning them into "living" areas that everyone can be involved in.
Vertdéco is committed to biodiversity and has adopted an environmentally responsible policy. The Institut Pasteur's natural heritage has been spread among a series of different green areas, creating pleasant outdoor spaces, and a natural process to enrich the soil without using pest control has been launched. Noise pollution has been minimized with the introduction of electrical equipment (apart from the lawnmowers, which should also soon be replaced by electric models), and most organic waste (from pruning, for example) is reused in flower beds as mulch or ground cover.
