BICENTENARY

Tour de France 2022: on your bike for the Institut Pasteur on July 9

AG2R LA MONDIALE is encouraging the whole of France to get pedaling on July 9 as part of a special "Vivons Vélo" day in aid of the Institut Pasteur. For this new edition, the goal is to clock up 20,000km, with 1,492km completed by the eight AG2R CITROËN TEAM riders during that day's stage of the Tour de France.

This year, in honor of the bicentenary of Louis Pasteur's birth, the 8th stage of the Tour will start in Dole, the town where Louis Pasteur was born, and travel through Arbois, where he grew up, to Lausanne. President Stewart Cole will also be present to represent Institut Pasteur to the organizers and personalities attending the event.

The event represents a great opportunity for all cycling enthusiasts to get involved in a special bicentenary ride via the Vivons Vélo app or to take part in one of the Vivons Vélo events held in more than 20 towns and cities across France. These gatherings are a way of supporting the Institut Pasteur's research, with every kilometer covered boosting the counter for the "Vivons Vélo" fundraising campaign in aid of the Institut Pasteur. AG2R LA MONDIALE will convert the kilometers into donations, with the aim of reaching a total of €100,000 by the end of 2022.

Alongside the Tour de France, organized cycle rides will be taking place in 21 French towns and cities: Aiserey, Alixan, Blénod-lès-Pont-à-Mousson, Dunkirk, Étampes, Fontaine-les-Grès, La Mézière, La Valette-du-Var, La Ville-aux-Dames, Le Crestet, Magalas, Malzéville, Montpellier, Mouvaux, Paris, Péronne, Plaisance, Rennes, Saint-Christo-en-Jarez, Sainte-Colombe-sur-Seine and Vallon-en-Sully.
