New Viral Neuro-Immunology laboratory and Heart morphogenesis unit
- New Viral Neuro-Immunology laboratory
The Viral Neuro-Immunology – Neuro-immunologie virale laboratory was set up on July 1, 2020, for a renewable two-year term.
The laboratory is part of the Department of Virology and is led by Monique Lafon. It is supported by the Institut Pasteur Innovation Accelerator (AIIP) and will develop innovative programs within this framework.

- Creation of the Heart Morphogenesis Unit
The Heart Morphogenesis five-year group (024121), directed by Sigolène Meilhac, came to the end of its term and was closed on June 30, 2020.
A new proposal was submitted and received favorable opinions from the Scientific Council in December 2019 and the Board of Directors in February 2020, resulting in creation of the Heart Morphogenesis (Morphogenèse du cœur) Unit on July 1, 2020.
The unit, jointly affiliated to the Institute Imagine, is part of the Department of Developmental and Stem Cell Biology and will be directed by Sigolène Meilhac, Director of Research at Inserm.
The unit is set up for a first five-year term which will run through to June 30, 2025.
