Air samples to measure asbestos dust

The Institut Pasteur conducts regular inspections of materials that may contain asbestos, involving visual monitoring of some areas on campus. This preventive measure is carried out by the Technical Department to ensure the complete safety of the working environment for staff.

To step up these controls, over and above the regulatory requirements in this area, the Technical Department will be installing air sampling pumps to measure dust. This will take place during July on a one-off basis for 24 hours in the following buildings: annex 8, Pasteur BioTop, Medical Center, CIS, André Lwoff, Henri Darré, Amédée Borrel, Albert Calmette, Jacques Monod and Auguste Fernbach.
