Launch of the 2025 call for candidates for the creation of new research units (U5) at Institut Pasteur

The Institut Pasteur wishes to create a limited number of new research units (U5) on its Paris campus. This call for candidates is open to permanent scientists from Institut Pasteur or other institutions who have been working full time (or with a main affiliation at Institut Pasteur) on the campus for at least 5 years, and whose PhD was obtained before January 2013 (younger scientists can apply to the next G5 call). These units will be created for 5 years and will be composed of up to 6 persons. At the end of the 5-year period, heads of U5 may apply for a classical research Unit (U10). 

This call for candidates aims to reinforce scientific priorities 1 (infectious threats) and 2 (environmental transitions and health) of the Pasteur 2030 strategic plan as well as the following topics: antimicrobial resistance, modeling, global health and artificial intelligence.
