Biometric badges

To improve security at access points and in view of the applicable regulatory directives, biometric readers are currently being installed at the BSL-3 laboratories and A3 and Lwoff animal facilities. Access to these premises will now be denied if you have not registered your fingerprints on your latest badge.

The Security Department is running a data registration session with the help of Engie, the company that will be taking your fingerprints.

The biometric readers will be changed once the overall encoding process is completed. This is to ensure continued security at the entrance to the Lwoff animal facility via biometric readers.

Biometric encoding of your fingerprints will take place on the ground floor of the Emile Duclaux building in the room to the left of the entrance, on the following dates:

  • September 11 to 15, 2017, from 9am to 12pm and 2 to 4pm

  • September 18 to 22, 2017, from 9am to 12pm and 2 to 4pm

Encoding time is roughly 3 minutes (presentation of your badge and encoding of your left and right index fingerprints).
