Report on the Laboratory Show on June 18
The 23rd edition of the Laboratory Show, held on June 18, was a great success, with a huge number of you coming along. The Procurement Department team would like to thank all the scientists, engineers, technicians and unit heads who came to meet the 51 scientific suppliers represented at the show, ask questions and compare products.
What makes the Laboratory Show so useful is the opportunity to talk to suppliers in person, explain the challenges of your research and discover new resources that meet your needs. This unique event is only possible thanks to the collective involvement of staff on campus. Your support is crucial in maintaining this dialog between science and scientific suppliers at future events, as we continue to strive for more effective tools that meet research needs.

The next Laboratory Show will take place on June 17, 2027 – save the date!

Interviews by high school students with organizers, suppliers and visitors The 23rd edition of the Institut Pasteur's Laboratory Show was held on June 18. Héloïse and Aurélien, two high school students on job shadowing placements, came along as reporters for the day and interviewed Elsa Duplaceau, the event organizer with the Procurement Department team; Jérémie Monteremal, the representative of the Haier Biomedical/Grosseron stand; and Marcel Hollenstein and Fabienne Levi-Acobas, scientists on campus who came to explore the latest technical and technological advances on show. "This event has been going for 23 years and it's a real window onto innovation. It is attended by the majority of scientific suppliers and offers an opportunity to discuss and forge links between the Institut Pasteur's scientific community and our suppliers. Preparations for the event begin in March, when we start contacting suppliers and asking them if they would be interested in paying for a stand to present their products, equipment and accessories designed for research laboratories. This year's show had 51 suppliers and 59 stands. Elsa Duplaceau, Head of the Procurement Department
"I have been coming to the Laboratory Show for the past two years to present the latest products developed by our company Haier/Grosseron. If I had to sum up my job in one sentence, it would be: "What can I do to support scientists and address their problems and needs?" We are in regular contact with several Institut Pasteur staff to see how we can best respond to their needs and questions. Our aim is to offer our expertise and provide them with solutions so that they can carry out their research. The most important thing for me is to offer good technical support and a good service. We want to work alongside all of our Institut Pasteur clients by offering effective solutions. That is the message we want to share at the show as we seek to step up our collaboration." Jérémie Monteremal, Haier Biomédical/Grosseron
“We have come here on the lookout for new products that could help us in our projects, especially in chemistry. The Laboratory Show is very practical as it takes place on campus so we don't need to travel further afield. We can also come and go as much as we like. If it was held somewhere else, we probably wouldn't go! We enjoy talking to the suppliers, who we know well after all these years. Since the event is attended by both small and large companies, there are a wide range of solutions on offer and plenty of opportunities to make unexpected discoveries. It's a pleasure to come along every year!” Marcel Hollenstein and Fabienne Levi-Acobas, | ||
