CeRIS cinema club

The Scientific Information Resources Center (CeRIS) will be screening a selection of science documentaries from its DVD collection on campus from July 11 to August 8, 2017.

Screenings will take place Tuesdays, on July 11 and 18 and August 1 and 8, at 1.30pm in the Jules Bordet room (building 67, Metchnikoff, ground floor).

The following films will be shown:

  • Tuesday July 11: Le monde bactérie, ces microbes qui nous gouvernent ("The world of bacteria, those microbes that govern us"), directed by Stéphane Bégoin, 2016 (52 mins)

  • Tuesday July 18: Biologie 2.0 / 2 – Les ingénieurs du vivant ("Biology 2.0 / 2 – Engineers of the living world"), directed by Charles-Antoine de Rouvre and Jérôme Scemla, 2016 (52 mins)

  • Tuesday August 1: Cancer : la piste oubliée ("Cancer: the forgotten trail"), directed by Marie-Pierre Jaury, 2014 (51 mins)

  • Tuesday August 8: Pasteur, directed by Sacha Guitry, 1935 (70 mins)

 

DVDs from the CeRIS library collection are available on loan:

  • by visiting the CeRIS library (CIS – second floor), Monday to Friday from 10am to 6pm.
