World Environment Day 2023: a look back at the events held on the Institut Pasteur campuses on June 5 and 12

For World Environment Day on June 5, the teams in the Sustainable Development Department in the Technical Resources and Environment Department, together with the biodiversity and awareness groups in the GreenTeam community that was set up in March 2023, were out in force to provide dedicated information about the Institut Pasteur's environmental initiatives.

Their aim was to inform the Institut Pasteur community about the following points:

1.      The Reuse room, which will be opening again after being closed for a few weeks for reorganization purposes

2.      Internal Climate Fresco® sessions led by 9 volunteers currently undergoing training

3.      Biodiversity on campus – with pots of seedlings, seeds for bees and tomato plants available for staff,

4.      Initiatives to reduce water and energy consumption,

5.      The carbon footprint of the Hearing Institute,

6.      Food...

To give staff at the Hearing Institute the opportunity to benefit and ask their own questions, the event was held again on June 12 in the atrium of the Hearing Institute, with the help of Léa Cheng and several members of the Sustainable Development Department.

Attendees were invited to post a passport in the special box at the stand, and three prizewinners were drawn by lot. These were:
•  Denise Derhy;
•  Lauriane Kergoat;
•  Noémi Dominique.

They each received a T-shirt and a recycled stainless steel travel mug with the Institut Pasteur logo.

The Sustainable Development Department would like to thank all Institut Pasteur staff who came along to the stands set up for these two days.
