Recherche Data Gouv: a new repository for sharing research data

The Institut Pasteur now has a dedicated space in the French national data repository Recherche Data Gouv.

What is the Recherche Data Gouv repository?

The Recherche Data Gouv repository was inaugurated in July 2022 to offer a sovereign solution for sharing and open access to research data. This multidisciplinary repository can be used if there is no other existing or suitable data storage solution for a specific discipline.

Recherche Data Gouv works in a similar way to Zenodo, but it also offers a number of specific advantages:
•    there is no limit on volume for datasets,
•    a private URL can be generated to give reviewers access to an unpublished dataset,
•    curation is provided to ensure that data is given a precise, accurate description,
•    and there are additional benefits.

The Institut Pasteur now has its own space – what does that mean exactly?

The CeRIS will be responsible for administering the Institut Pasteur space and curating the datasets deposited in the space, with support from the Data Management Core Facility for curation.

Benefits:

•    For scientists: local support for depositing and managing datasets in the repository.
•    For the Institut Pasteur: the Institut Pasteur's datasets are grouped together in a single space, thereby boosting the visibility of the Institut Pasteur's research results among the scientific community.

How does it work?

Do you want to find out more and learn how to deposit data in the repository? The CeRIS is running training sessions on Recherche Data Gouv.

Next session: Tuesday July 11 from 10am to 12 noon, in French, online (via Microsoft Teams).
