COVID-19 – Useful information: Requests for professional missions; Distribution of masks; Information security and best practices guide

  • Progressive Business Resumption Plan - Requests for professional missions

As an extension of the measures relating to phase 3 of the Progressive Business Resumption Plan, authorization procedure for professional missions will be simplified as of June 22, 2020. In concrete terms, the main lines are as follows:

  • For mission requests not related to priority projects, we encourage employees to continue to use video conferencing tools as a priority. Seminars and symposiums that are not accessible by videoconference are not suitable for physical distancing and should be considered carefully.

  • Missions in France and in Europe will be authorized as of June 22. Missions outside Europe will be authorized as of July 1.

  • As early as the preparation stage of the mission, employees must inform themselves of the applicable health measures in the country of destination, in order to ensure they do not interfere with the proper execution of the mission (quarantine measures, travel restrictions,..).

  • As of June 22, only missions to sensitive countries will require a favorable opinion from the Security and Safety Delegate (DSSu) in accordance with the procedure previously in force.

  • Distribution of masks

Masks will be distributed in boxes of 50 for a period of 2 weeks, which means 4 surgical masks per day: one for their arrival by public transport, one for the morning, one for the afternoon and one to return home in the evening. Masks used on public transport should be disposed of as soon as you arrive on campus. Dedicated bins for this purpose will be placed at the campus entrances.

Distribution : 9 to 10.30am and 2 to 3pm, every day in the modules under the company restaurant, on presentation of your staff badge.

Be careful to lock your masks: in case of theft, we will not be able to replace them.

  • Information security reminder in the current context and update of the best practices guide

In the current circumstances, many of you are working from home using your work computer or, in some cases, your personal computer.

The Information Systems Security Department and the Information Systems Department are asking you to adhere strictly to the recommendations outlined in the guide below, which was made available at the beginning of the lockdown and has recently been updated to ensure that everyone working from home can do so as securely as possible. We would strongly recommend not using any software, applications or websites that may compromise the Institut Pasteur's information security, as described in the guide.
