Bulletin interne de l'Institut Pasteur
The HR calendar, which indicates all the HR campaigns and measures to be carried out throughout the year by managers and their teams, has recently been optimized to better meet the needs and expectations of all those on campus. After receiving approval from the staff representative bodies in March, the new calendar is now ready to be implemented.
In line with efforts to modernize and optimize HR practices and processes, the aims of the new calendar are:
to clarify the series of campaigns designed to provide career support for Institut Pasteur staff;
to make sure these measures fit in as smoothly as possible with other procedures that take place each year at the Institut Pasteur (drawing up the budget, mandatory annual negotiations, COMESP, Board of Directors, National Reference Centers, etc.);
to facilitate day-to-day life on campus by spreading these events more evenly over the year.
The main points to note in the new calendar:
at the beginning of each year: all campaigns concerning employees (annual appraisals and career development reviews, identification of individual training needs, promotion requests, salary review requests),
following on from the annual appraisals/career development reviews and promotion applications but before the salary review procedure, the Promotion Committee meets to establish its position,
before the summer period and ahead of budget requests: identification of recruitment needs for the coming year,
at the end of the year: identification of strategic priorities and collective training requirements in parallel with the budget development process.
In practice, over the coming weeks:
the annual appraisals and career development reviews, which used to take place over the summer, will now take place between December and February. The upcoming appraisal campaign will focus on the period from November 2017 to November 2018 and on targets/training needs for 2019.
