Return of in-person Open Desk sessions with the Bioinformatics and Biostatistics Hub

Because of the health crisis, the in-person Open Desk sessions run by the Bioinformatics and Biostatistics Hub (every Tuesday from 10am to 12 noon in the entrance hall of the Yersin building) were suspended and replaced by Teams sessions.

The teams in the Bioinformatics and Biostatistics Hub are delighted to announce that these weekly in-person sessions resumed on Tuesday May 7, 2021, still from 10am to 12 noon and in the entrance hall of the Yersin building.

A list of upcoming Open Desk sessions is now available – click here.

Head to this page to see the list of Hub members attending each weekly session. You will also find a Teams link to log in and interact with the Hub engineers if you want to attend the session remotely.

The page lists the areas of expertise of each engineer attending the sessions so that you can choose a specific session if you have a particular need.

We would remind you that Hub Open Desk sessions are an opportunity for anyone on campus to put their questions to one or more members of the Bioinformatics and Biostatistics Hub.

The Hub can offer guidance on:

experimental design (from a statistical viewpoint)

analysis of all types of data, including:

•    omics data,

•    epidemiological data,

•    temporal data,

•    phylogenetic data,

•    any other data from biological experiments.

the implementation of statistical methods

software development

web tool development and design

database development

code review

This list is non-exhaustive.

The Hub members hope to see lots of you at the upcoming sessions.
