2017 edition of "Roulons solidaires": take to your bikes from next Tuesday

kake_dole_2017.png Starting next Tuesday, get ready to burn some energy in aid of research!

From July 4 to 21, for the sixth year in a row, the three-week "Roulons solidaires" campaign, organized in partnership with AG2R La Mondiale, will be held on campus to clock up the kilometers and raise money for the Institut Pasteur’s research.

Individual and team challenges – such as covering the most kilometers in a single sitting and racing against the clock like in the Tour de France time trial prolog – will be set each week on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 11.30am to 2.30pm. So hop on your bike and make those kilometers count as we ride together for research! The main challenge for all cyclists will be to reach 500km each week.

Are you prepared to go the distance and rise to the challenge?

Please note that this year, the two stationary bikes used for the event will be set up in the atrium of the François Jacob building because of the building works taking place in the cafeteria, where the event has been held for the past five years. The bikes will be freely available for use during the day, except when the challenges are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

And don't forget that once again in 2017, as for the past two years, the "Vivons Vélo" app is available to download on smartphones and tablets in conjunction with the "Roulons solidaires" campaign. It enables you to measure your performance when cycling and also boosts the "Roulons solidaires" kilometer counter. Encourage your friends and family to download the app – which contains great training programs for cyclists of all levels and allows you to post customized results on social media – and enjoy watching the kilometer count climb!
