Two new units; responsibilities in the area of security

  • New Macrophages and Endothelial Cells Unit

The Macrophages and Endothelial Cells five-year group (024122), led by Elisa Gomez Perdiguero, has come to the end of its term and will be closed on June 30, 2023.

In June 2023, following the favorable opinion issued by the Scientific Council in March 2023, the Board of Governors approved the proposal by the President to establish the Macrophages and Endothelial Cells (Macrophages et Cellules Endothéliales) Unit as from July 1, 2023.

This unit will be part of the Department of Developmental and Stem Cell Biology and will be led by Elisa Gomez Perdiguero, a Director of Research at the Institut Pasteur.

The first five-year term of the unit will run through to June 30, 2028.

  • New Molecular Genetics and Epigenetics Unit

The Fungal Epigenomics five-year group (025110), led by Eugene Gladyshev, has come to the end of its term and will be closed on June 30, 2023.

In June 2023, following the favorable opinion issued by the Scientific Council in March 2023, the Board of Governors approved the proposal by the President to establish the Molecular Genetics and Epigenetics (Épigénétique et Génétique Moléculaire) Unit as from July 1, 2023.

The unit will be part of the Department of Mycology and will be led by Eugene Gladyshev, a Director of Research at the Institut Pasteur.

The first five-year term of the unit will run through to June 30, 2028.

  • Responsibilities in the area of security

In view of internal memos 33, "Campus security, protection of scientific heritage and biosafety," and 0108, "Role of the Delegate for Safety and Security," the following people have been appointed to take on security responsibilities on campus.

This decision comes into effect on July 1, 2023 and supersedes decision 1007 of March 12, 2020. Decision 1006 of March 12, 2020 is repealed.
