Summary of the information session on the CMTV project held on May 31

The plan to establish a research center on vector-borne diseases (the CMTV project) was launched under the Institut Pasteur's 2019-2023 Strategic Plan.

The aim of the CMTV is to increase the impact of the Institut Pasteur, and France more broadly, in the response to future emerging vector-borne diseases, by bringing together the main teams working in this field on campus in a new building with state-of-the-art technological capabilities (also accessible to other staff on campus), developed in line with the latest environmental standards. The new building, set to open in 2027, will also offer a series of versatile spaces for all staff on campus.

The newsletter team is pleased to provide a summary of the main points raised in the information session held on May 31 to present the CMTV project.

After an introduction by Christophe d'Enfert, Senior Executive Scientific Vice-President, and Nathalie Denoyés, Vice-President Technical Resources and Environment, an overview of the scientific program, the building project and the key moments in the project timeline was presented by Philippe Bastin, scientific coordinator of the project, Pascal Ténégal, Real Estate and Technical Department manager, and the architecture firm jaq.

These presentations were followed by a discussion session with the speakers to answer questions asked in person and via Teams.
