BICENTENARY

Get voting to elect the Louis Pasteur stamp!

For the 32nd year in a row, the French postal service La Poste is running a competition to elect the stamp of the year.

Participants are given the opportunity to select their favorite products and then their top product for the year 2022 in eight different categories:

•    Stamps: all stamps issued as part of the French philately program (1 single stamp).

•    Blocks/small books of stamps: all blocks and small books of stamps issued as part of the French philately program and as special products.

•    Large books of stamps: all the large books of stamps issued during the year.

•    Collector kits: "national" collector kits issued by Philaposte.

•    First day covers: first day covers for stamps issued as part of the philately program (stamps, blocks/small books and large books) and first day covers for the Philaposte national collector launches.

•    Vignettes LISA: "national" self-adhesive stamps distributed by self-service machines, issued for national events with Philaposte partners (e.g. FFAP, CNEP, Adphile).

•    Stamps for partner postal services: stamps printed by Philaposte on behalf of French overseas territories and the principalities of Andorra and Monaco.

•    Special creations: special products (posters, €0 souvenir banknotes, blocks, books, letter cards and pre-stamped postcards) produced for major philately trade shows.

The many stamps issued by La Poste in 2022 include the one featuring Louis Pasteur. Designed by Patrick Dérible on the basis of a photo proposed by the Pasteur Museum and engraved by Pierre Bara, the stamp was issued to mark the bicentenary of the Institut Pasteur's founder.

So why not make the most of the opportunity and vote for the stamp! You have until April 9 to vote and be entered into the prize draw.
