New decision memos on G5s
Creation of the Dynamic Regulation of Morphogenesis Unit
The Morphogenesis Regulation in Higher Vertebrates five-year group (024117), directed by Jérôme Gros, came to the end of its term and was closed on December 31, 2018.
A new proposal was submitted and received a favorable opinion from the Scientific Council in October 2018 and the Board of Directors in December 2018, resulting in the creation of a new unit, Dynamic Regulation of Morphogenesis (Régulation dynamique de la morphogenèse), on January 1, 2019.
This unit, part of the Department of Developmental and Stem Cell Biology, will be directed by Jérôme Gros, an Expert Research Associate at the Institut Pasteur.
The unit will be set up for a first five-year term which will run through to December 31, 2023.

- Creation of the Membrane Protein Mechanisms Unit
The Molecular Mechanisms of Membrane Transport five-year group (024214), directed by Nicolas Reyes, came to the end of its term and was closed on December 31, 2018.
A new proposal was submitted and received a favorable opinion from the Scientific Council in October 2018 and the Board of Directors in December 2018, resulting in the creation of a new unit, Membrane Protein Mechanisms (Mécanismes des protéines membranaires), on January 1, 2019.
This unit is part of the Department of Structural Biology and Chemistry and will be directed by Nicolas Reyes, a Research Director at the Institut Pasteur.
The unit will be set up for a first five-year term which will run through to December 31, 2023.

- Creation of the Insect-Virus Interactions Unit
The Insect-Virus Interactions five-year group (024321), directed by Louis Lambrechts, came to the end of its term and was closed on December 31, 2018.
A new proposal was submitted and received a favorable opinion from the Scientific Council in October 2018 and the Board of Directors in December 2018, resulting in the creation of a new unit, Insect-Virus Interactions (Interactions virus-insectes), on January 1, 2019.
This unit is part of the Department of Genomes and Genetics and will be directed by Louis Lambrechts, an Expert Research Associate at the Institut Pasteur.
The unit will be set up for a first five-year term which will run through to December 31, 2023.

- Creation of the Epigenomics, Proliferation and the Identity of Cells Unit
The Epigenetics of Stem Cells five-year group (024119), directed by Pablo Navarro-Gil, came to the end of its term and was closed on December 31, 2018.
A new proposal was submitted and received a favorable opinion from the Scientific Council in October 2018 and the Board of Directors in December 2018, resulting in the creation of a new unit, Epigenomics, Proliferation and the Identity of Cells (Epigénomique, prolifération et identité cellulaire), on January 1, 2019.
This unit, part of the Department of Developmental and Stem Cell Biology, will be directed by Pablo Navarro-Gil, an Expert Research Associate at the Institut Pasteur.
The unit will be set up for a first five-year term which will run through to December 31, 2023.

- Creation of the Humoral Immunology Laboratory
The Humoral Response to Pathogens five-year group (024420), directed by Hugo Mouquet, came to the end of its term and was closed on December 31, 2018.
A new proposal was submitted and received a favorable opinion from the Scientific Council in October 2018 and the Board of Directors in December 2018, resulting in the creation of a new laboratory, Humoral Immunology (Immunologie humorale), on January 1, 2019.
This laboratory, part of the Department of Immunology, will be directed by Hugo Mouquet, an Expert Research Associate at the Institut Pasteur.
The laboratory's term will come to an end on December 31, 2021.
