Agnès Buzyn, French Minister for Solidarity and Health, visits the Vectopole at the Institut Pasteur in French Guiana

At the end of her visit to French Guiana, Agnès Buzyn, Minister of Solidarity and Health, visited the vectopole of the Institut Pasteur de la Guyane on Friday 1 March 2019.

During this visit, Agnès Buzyn met with the Institute's researchers to talk about their research, and how they monitor infectious diseases through the national reference centres funded by the Ministry of Health.

"The Minister of Solidarity and Health highlighted the essential role played by the Institut Pasteur de la Guyane in supporting public health and the scientific excellence of research on infectious diseases in this region of the world," explains Dr Mirdad Kazanji, Director of the Institut Pasteur de la Guyane, who accompanied the minister throughout the visit.
