SOLIDARITY

Ukraine conflict: the latest on our action in support of the scientists and people of Ukraine

1/ Hosting Ukrainian scientists

As indicated in the message from Stewart Cole on March 4, the Institut Pasteur has pledged to host Ukrainian scientists in its research laboratories.

Following a flash survey conducted this week among unit heads, over 60 teams have already volunteered to host a Ukrainian scientist.

Starting from the beginning of next week, a list of the laboratories that could host Ukrainian scientists will be published online and a dedicated message will be sent out calling for applications. Specific details about the online procedure will follow.

Ukrainian scientists can contact host laboratories to propose a joint project, which will be submitted to the management team for review.

We will be asking you to share this offer with your networks to give it as much visibility as possible.

The management team is currently examining the other practical aspects (housing, schools, etc.) associated with hosting these scientists.

2/ Participation in the international solidarity effort

A collection of essential supplies will be organized on campus from Monday March 21, in conjunction with the mairie in Paris' 15th arrondissement.

A list of priority needs (food, hygiene items, etc.) can be found at the following link.

You can drop off any essential items as of Monday March 21 on the ground floor of the CIS building between 12 and 2pm.

The supplies will be delivered to the mairie, or town hall, of the 15th arrondissement, which will arrange for them to be sent to Ukraine.
