Call for applications G5 2026: come and listen to the shortlisted candidates on March 30 and 31

In December 2025, the Institut Pasteur issued a call for applications for the launch of new junior groups. The selection process continues with presentations from the 17 candidates shortlisted for this second stage.

This year’s call for applications aims to establish new research groups to strengthen the campus’s expertise in the fields of infectious diseases, host-microbe interactions and vaccines, through transdisciplinary approaches, as well as projects developing innovative artificial intelligence methodologies to advance these areas of biology and health sciences.

On this occasion, nearly 200 eligible applications were received, of which 17 were shortlisted for the next stage of the recruitment process. Shortlisted candidates have been invited to present their work and their research proposal for a future research group at a two-day symposium which will take place in the Emile Duclaux lecture hall on Monday 30 and Tuesday 31 March, 2026.

Consult the two-day program:

30 March

31 March

This symposium is a great opportunity to hear from brilliant young scientists selected for the excellence of their academic careers and the originality of the projects they have proposed. Come, listen and discuss with young scientists who might be joining the Institut Pasteur in the coming months to form new G5 groups.
