Book signing

Book signing with Philippe Sansonetti on March 28

To mark the publication of Philippe Sansonetti's book Microbes sans frontières ("Microbes Without Borders"), you are all welcome to come and meet the author at a signing session held by publisher Éditions Odile Jacob and the Institut Pasteur on Thursday March 28, 2024.

The book by Philippe Sansonetti, Professor Emeritus at the Institut Pasteur, is a unique overview of current knowledge about microbes and how we can protect ourselves against them. The author also speaks of the need to preserve microbes, as they are crucial for maintaining the balance of the planet's systems.

This fundamental paradox can only be resolved by improving our understanding of the sometimes stormy yet often peaceful relationship between Homo sapiens and the microbial world. Philippe Sansonetti provides a clear, insightful account, with short, punchy chapters that help us navigate this fascinating relationship, for better or worse.

The book signing will take place in hall 2 in the CIS, in partnership with the bookshop La Cédille, which will be selling copies. The event will take place from 12.30 to 2pm, with a discussion session until 1.15pm followed by a signing session until 2pm.
