The Quality, Environment and Sustainable Development Department, in partnership with SUEZ, would like to encourage you to play your part in recycling drinks packaging at The 25.

The R3D3 robot, developed by French start-up Green Creative, is ushering in a new era in the world of recycling.

R3D3 is a smart bin that automatically recognizes, sorts and compacts cans, disposable cups and plastic bottles.

It offers:

• Ease of use: Simply place your can, cup or plastic bottle on the bin and R3D3 takes care of the rest.

• Automatic recognition: R3D3 automatically detects the type of drinks packaging. Once it has identified the waste item, R3D3 opens and it can be processed.

• Effective compression and sorting: R3D3 compacts the waste item and automatically sorts it into the appropriate section. It takes just 6 seconds... and makes no noise!

In 2017, 870kg of cans and 660kg of plastic bottles were recycled.
