International Zika Summit at the Institut Pasteur

On April 25 and 26, the Institut Pasteur is organizing the "International Zika Summit - Bringing Together Science and Public Health" on its Paris campus.

In partnership with the Wellcome Trust, the French REACTing Group (Inserm, IRD), WHO, the EU and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, this event will be attended by scientists and healthcare professionals involved in the fight against an epidemic which represents "a public health emergency of international concern", as stated in February by WHO.

 

The main topics addressed at the conference will include:

  • Epidemiology and clinical cohorts

  • Neurologic complications

  • Vaccine development

  • Diagnostics

  • Animal Models

  • Vector Control

 

The conference is open to all and will take place in the CIS auditorium.

The deadline for abstract submissions is April 8, 2016.

This event is organized by an international committee including the following Institut Pasteur staff: Maria Van Kerkhove, Simon Wain-Hobson, Arnaud Fontanet and Jean-François Chambon.
