Inauguration of the (re)new(ed) HistoPathology Core Facility and its new services for Digital Pathology, Tuesday April 9

Come and learn about the new digital pathology services deployed in 2024 and discuss how they can support and enrich your research projects on Tuesday April 9.

The D-Patho project, funded by the 1Health DIM and Institut Pasteur, is aimed at completely redeploying the histopathology platform and offering new services that will complement the expertise of pathologists. The new platform provides new quantitative approaches in histopathology and digital pathology to the scientific community. To this end, we invested in sample preparation devices, imaging devices and image analysis software to offer digital pathology to researchers in the Greater Paris region. This project draws on several tools and expertise in image analysis and data management already deployed in the IAH and new cutting-edge equipment deployed within the HPCF.

The ‘open-day’ event will introduce the new services to the scientific community. Dr. Brice Rotureau will deliver a scientific presentation showcasing the impact of histopathology on disease research. We also invited representatives from the project’s industry partners, Zeiss (provider of the new slide scanner) and Visiopharm (image analysis software for histopathology) and they will give a technical introduction to the technologies and capabilities of the new devices. Lastly, demonstrations and tours will be organized for you to directly interact with engineers and providers. This half-day event is sure to stimulate and inspire your research projects.
