Workshop «Improving Institut Pasteur success in H2020 calls»

Horizon 2020, the successor to the 7th Framework Program for Research and Technological Development, is the European Union's research and innovation funding program for 2014-2020. H2020 is divided into three main priorities: excellent science, industrial leadership and societal challenges.

The European Union provides funding under this program for interdisciplinary projects designed to offer a response to major economic and social challenges. H2020 covers the entire innovation value chain, from ideas to market. It aims to strengthen and support the process of bringing research findings to market and boost business creativity.

The Department of Development and the Revive LabEx are running a workshop entitled "Improving Institut Pasteur success in H2020 calls", in partnership with the SAFE-Aqua* project, to provide scientists with more information about the H2020 program, its possibilities and challenges, and to offer advice on how to meet its requirements so that the Institut Pasteur can position itself more effectively in its funding applications. This event will take place on April 27, 2017 at 9am in the François Jacob auditorium.

Speakers Sean McCarthy (Hyperion), a consultant who specializes in helping organizations design and implement their European research strategies, and Guillaume Fusai from the French Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Research, who serves as a representative on the Horizon 2020 Program Committee (health, FET and ERC), will provide constructive information to help you apply successfully for H2020 funding.

The event is open to all but prior registration is required.

* SAFE-Aqua (SustainAble Farming for Effective Aquaculture) is an EU-funded project coordinated by the Institut Pasteur, aiming to provide scientific solutions to solve disease-related issues in aquaculture using shrimp as a model. SAFE-Aqua will explore the benefits of developed feed additives for keeping a healthy gut microbial balance, enhancing immune-capacity, and maintaining the nutritional integrity of shrimp as a product, through research and innovation staff exchanges and the sharing of knowledge and ideas from farm to fork.
