Book signing

Save the date - come and meet Erik Orsenna on May 4 as he presents his new book

Make sure you don't miss the chance to come and meet Erik Orsenna, Ambassador for the Institut Pasteur and its International Network (see the newsletter from March 24, 2016).

All Institut Pasteur staff are warmly invited to come along to the CIS auditorium on Thursday May 4, 2017, at 11.30am.

9782213701349-001-x.jpeg To mark the publication by Editions Fayard of his new book entitled Géopolitique du moustique ("The Geopolitics of the Mosquito"), Erik Orsenna will give a presentation alongside Anna-Bella Failloux in which he will describe his "Pasteurian journey" across the world and his encounters with scientists specializing in mosquito-borne diseases, who provided him with material and guidance for his book, due to come out on April 3. The writer and avid traveler drew on the scientific contributions and local knowledge of several institutes in the International Network, from French Guiana to Cambodia and Senegal, from Brazil to Beijing.

The event on May 4 is open to all staff and will be introduced by Institut Pasteur President Christian Bréchot. A book signing session will be held after the presentation.

We hope that as many as possible will be able to come along to this one-off event.

Erik Orsenna is already set to appear on several TV and radio programs to talk about his book and his experiences in the field with institutes in the International Network. So for a sneak peek of the May 4 event, you can tune into La grande librairie on France 5 on April 6, the live Magazine de la santé on France 5 on April 18 and La tête au carré on April 24 on France Inter.
