This year, the Institut Pasteur Conference Center is pleased to announce two outstanding events that will be held on campus. Practical details can be found below.
On October 16, the Institut Pasteur will pay tribute to Gérard Orth with an event in the Emile Duclaux lecture hall from 9am to 4.45pm.
Gérard Orth was an Emeritus Director of Research at the CNRS, an Honorary Professor at the Institut Pasteur and a Member of the French Academy of Sciences. He was a passionate scientist who devoted his life to advancing knowledge on the links between papillomavirus infections and cervical cancer and on improving the prevention of this common disease through early diagnosis and vaccination.
We hope that lots of you will come along to this event, at which several speakers will pay tribute to Gérard Orth.

The meeting is the first international symposium specifically focused on Klebsiella pneumoniae (Kpn).
It will cover all aspects of Kpn and related Klebsiella species’ research, from fundamental biology and genomics, to epidemiology, public health, One health and clinical aspects, to therapeutics.
