First edition of the International Institut Curie Symposium on May 15-17, 2024, at the Maison de la Chimie, Paris

The first edition of the International Institut Curie Symposium will take place on May 15-17, 2024, at the Maison de la Chimie in Paris.

The event will be attended by 700 participants – biologists, chemists, physicists, clinicians, and experts in basic research or oncology, from the United States, Europe and Asia. The lectures by internationally renowned speakers will be held at the Maison de la Chimie, a prestigious historical setting in Paris. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet and exchange insights and ideas with Charles Swanton from the Francis Crick Institute (UK), Edith Heard from the EMBL (Germany) and Yasmine Belkaid from the Institut Pasteur, together with many others; see the list here Aude Bernheim, Head of the Molecular Diversity of Microbes five-year group, and Lluis Quintana-Murci, Head of the Human Evolutionary Genetics Unit, will be guest speakers at the event.

The first edition of the symposium will include four sessions on evolution, genetics, immunity and systems biology, as well as a final session paying tribute to the "great beauty of science" in memory of Marie Curie's vision.
