François Jacob Conference "Evolution, Structure and Function of Chromosomes High Order Structure", June 4 to 7, 2019

The François Jacob Conference "Evolution, Structure and Function of Chromosomes High Order Structure" will take place from June 4 to 7, 2019.

The aim is to bring together scientists specializing in 3D architecture to review the latest progress in the field.

The development of methods for mapping contacts between genome regions, together with improvements in cell imaging techniques, has opened new avenues for research on the development, 3D structure and function of chromosomes. It is now clear that chromosome architecture plays a vital role in regulating gene expression during development and differentiation. Disruption to these chromosomal interactions is associated with the onset of diseases such as cancer.
