Take part in the mini-symposium "The Collaborative Cross, a mouse mode for human genetic diversity" on June 3

The "CC-Club," a group of several scientists on campus set up in 2017, uses and promotes the Collaborative Cross, a collection of mouse lines produced by an international consortium and bred at the Institut Pasteur. These lines are used to model human genetic diversity.

To raise awareness about this resource, the only one of its kind in Europe, and present some of the results obtained using the mice lines, the CC-Club is holding a mini-symposium on the afternoon of Friday June 3 in the François Jacob auditorium.

The event will be opened by Christophe d'Enfert, Senior Executive Scientific Vice-President, at 2pm and will begin with a presentation of the origins of this genetic resource and its potential as a model in various scientific fields. Several lectures will present the results obtained with these lines in research into immune processes, diabetes and Zika virus infection.

The event will also be an opportunity to explore new possibilities for collaboration, supported in particular by Xavier Montagutelli, Head of the Mouse Genetics Laboratory, and Jean Jaubert, Director of the Center for Animal Resources and Research.

The mini-symposium is free but prior registration is required by May 20.
