Upcoming "Pasteur Medicine Quarter-Hour" on snake venom on May 23

Every month, the Center for Translational Science runs a "Pasteur Medicine Quarter-Hour" session, where two doctors are invited to give a brief presentation to Institut Pasteur scientists on the diseases they are involved in treating. The doctors start by outlining one or more clinical cases, then provide a short description of the disease and conclude by looking at a series of unanswered questions that need to be addressed.

The next session will take place on Thursday May 23 at 5.30pm in the François Jacob auditorium. The topic will be snake venom.

Program:

  • Snake bite envenomation: a neglected public health problem, with Jean-Philippe Chippaux from the French Research Institute for Development (IRD),

  • Snake bite envenomation: challenges and prospects for research, with Fabien Taieb from the Institut Pasteur.
